To get through the hardest journey we need take only one step at a time, but we must keep on stepping. – Chinese Proverb
You’ve completed your first week of habit change with LUMME! That’s a big deal and I hope you feel proud of the work that you’re doing!
Building momentum
I’ve got another piece of good news for you; if you’ve been following the plan that we’ve described in our emails this week, you’ve made it through the hardest part!
The first few days of habit change tend to be the most difficult because you have to figure out what you’re going to do instead of your old habits and you have to try it for the first time.
Now what?
The question to ask yourself right now is whether you’re reporting on all your meals in the LUMME app. If not, that’s your top priority for this new week. Notifications from your smartwatch can help remind you. If you aren’t getting eating detections, be sure to complete a few gesture training sessions (found under “Profile” in the app).
At your fingertips is the world’s most advanced system ever created for habit formation and weight loss. But putting it to work for you and unlocking your potential starts with your inputs.
Improve your adherence score and avoid “risk”
Assuming you’re reporting on your meals consistently, the plan going forward is to keep working on building consistency and gradually introduce new behavioral targets.
Check your Adherence Score regularly, and click on it to get a breakdown of which behavioral targets are going well, and which ones need the most attention. Risk Alerts from your AI Assistant will also help you to figure out exactly which behaviors you need to focus on, and when.
We’re still learning
Over time, your AI Assistant will build an increasingly sophisticated understanding of your patterns, and the Insights screen is a great place to see what it’s learned.
Check for the strengths shown there, and try to capitalize on them. For example, you may learn that you tend to stay on track when you eat with other people versus alone. Likewise, check out your Top Risk factors and think about how you can address them head-on, or work around them. For example, if eating out is a risk for you, consider planning a few meals out, specifically to practice staying on track. Otherwise, you might try to limit eating out.
We’re excited to continue this journey with you! Please feel free to be in touch. We’re here to help!
