Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going. – Jim Rohn

Day 2

Has it clicked for you yet?

Yesterday, we wrote about how the LUMME philosophy differs from other weight loss apps.

To review, we’re working on shifting the heavy-lifting of calorie counting to the Watch, so you can focus on building better consistency in your choices. This begins with your first few target behaviors. If you’re completing your behavior reports, then the brains of your app will start learning your patterns. Keep up the good work!

Track your progress

Keep an eye on your Weekly Adherence Score, and consider clicking on it to see a detailed breakdown of which behaviors are going well, and which might need more attention.

Soon, we’ll start to provide you with Insights and Challenges (more on that in the coming days).

Is this all there is to it?

Right now, the most important habit to build is completing your behavior reports. Each one improves your AI’s ability to give you Challenges that focus your effort on periods of risk when we think you might go off track. Soon, we’ll be able to give you immediate feedback with each report to keep you moving in the right direction.

Practice

Building lasting improvements to your habits takes time. The good news is that we don’t need to change who we are. We just need to practice better consistency.

With AI, each day is hyper-personalized for your success, so your journey is not just interesting like you, but also very satisfying.

Imagine how you’ll feel when you start beating our Challenges and master some of those bad habits that have been nagging you for years. Just remember to take it slow and be patient with yourself. We’ll get there!

If you’re working on weight loss, it’s also a good idea to enter your weight into the app daily. It may also help us improve the accuracy of your calorie counts*.

* Your current weight factors into your personalized calorie value per bite. Conducting gesture training also improves the accuracy of your calorie counts. You’ll find it under Profile / Training.

See you tomorrow.

– Graham

P.S.  Avoid sensor data build-up on your Watch and consequential eating detection delays by opening the app each day, sometime after each meal.
